The
Flamingo Inn Amongst the Flowers, is proud of
its reputation as one of the leading luxury gay hotels
and is often referred to as Floridas first Boutique
Hotel serving the gay community.
It
has been over two years now that the current owners, Chip
and Ray, purchased The Flamingo. The previous owner,
formerly on the Board of Directors at the
Ritz Hotel in Paris, completed extensive renovations
of the property, truly making The Flamingo a five star
resort. Chip and Ray, partners for 26 years,
purchased The Flamingo to fulfill a life-long dream,
and work hard to maintain and even exceed the high
standards that the hotel has come to be known for.
Subtle changes include the addition of Aveda spa
products and new luxury linens. Chip and Ray are
on property most evenings to welcome both new and
returning guests. In addition to award winning
decor, the personalized service that you will receive
at The Flamingo is second to none.
Entering
through the large iron gate, the delicately
manicured gardens, lush tropical palms and flowers,
soothing fountains, comfortable lounge areas and
sparkling heated pool will whisk your troubles away.
Whether you are visiting to relax and escape life's
pressures, or to enjoy Fort Lauderdale's exciting gay
nightlife, or even a little of both, The Flamingo is
an ideal oasis...a place to call home for the
discriminating gay traveler while visiting South
Florida.
The
courtyard is so private that many new guests comment
"I had no idea this was in here". Large white
market umbrellas, and a flowing white tent adorn the
courtyard and provide comfortable shade. Of course, our
signature yellow lounge chairs are in abundance for
those interested in working on a tan.
From
the moment you arrive until the time you depart, the
goal is to make the days you spend at The Flamingo as
relaxed and comfortable as possible. Focusing on detail
and comfort, modern bathrooms have been added. All the
spacious rooms and suites have been completely renovated
and redecorated with the cool and airy influence of
the British West Indies. Four-poster beds and white
on white cool bedding and duvets are part of the unique
bedrooms, junior suites, and suites. Most rooms have
new French doors opening onto the central courtyard.
At
The Flamingo, beds are turned
down at night, continental breakfast is served each
morning, and the office extends full concierge service
to make your dinner reservations, gym requests, tour
bookings, car rentals, etc...all to make your stay
a memorable, restful and romantic visit. Whether
you have stayed in the past or will be a first-time
visitor, our goal is to ensure that your stay is everything
that you could expect it to be.
